Tomorrow's deployment day. I mentioned before that I started in a new area in September and was told I would likely be working from home by the end of October. That turned out to be the second week of November. I go into the office for a half day and then leave at lunch, with my new work at home set up. I'll spend the afternoon getting it up & running. I won't go back in the office until at least January and even then it will only be twice a week. I'm really looking forward working from home. No more commutes (a lot less car use too), extra sleep in the morning, a chance to get a regular gym routine again, and being home at quitting time.

Good Friday morning RM. Yesterday turned into a longer day than I expected; I didn't leave the office until about 3:30 and it took a while to set up my work at home station. Everything's still not like it should but it's enough to work at home.

got to watch a fight on the street this morning. not a very nice seen. like 6-8 shop workers beating up one guy. I have no idea what the guy did but they went too far. acting like savages. reminded me how awful some people are.

What if that guy had raped their sister/daughter/mother/wife? Would that have still been too far?

crazy example. but even then. say you're just a clerk at a grocery store. all of a sudden a coworker is having a confrontation with someone who supposedly raped his sister. seems unlikely that 5 other clerks join him to beat the guy outside.
